What is alt text and how to add alt text to your blogger blog images 2017

“ALT text” is an attribute which should be added to any visual item on your web page For Example Post Links, Product Links, Navigation Links and also for images. It’s mainly used on images to provide a text alternative to the Describe the image Detail. Providing an alt text to image allows all users to access the same information, whether they can see an image. Adding alternative text for images is the first principle of web accessibility. It is also one of the most difficult to properly implement. The web is replete with images that have missing, incorrect, or poor alternative text. Like many things in web accessibility, determining appropriate, equivalent, alternative text is often a matter of personal interpretation.

Learn More About Alternative Text (alt tag)

  • It is read by screen readers in place of images allowing the content and function of the image to be accessible to those with visual or certain cognitive disabilities.
  • It is displayed in place of the image in user agents (browsers) that don’t support the display of images or when the user has chosen not to view images.
  • It provides a semantic meaning and description to images which can be read by search engines or be used to later determine the content of the image from page context alone.

More Information I found on internet About “Alt Tag “

When robots scan your content they look for every detail and when they come across your image HTML code they do not recognize what the image is all about. It can’t judge if it is an image on Vector Icons or Template. To let robots index each of your images you must add an alt Tag  This alt Tag was introduced by Google so that images could be well described, categorized and indexed. This Tag tells the robot about the purpose of the image. So i think we need to stop the discussion and lets start Tutorial.

Add Alt Text Using Blogger Post HTML Editor

1. Go to your blogger post html editor.
2. Click on image icon on the top menu.
3. Upload your image and then click on image you can see option like screenshot below.
4. Click on Properties.

 5. When you click on properties you will see windows like screenshot below.

6. In title text add your image title.
7. In alt text tell Google Robots more about your image..
8.  and click ok. You’re done!!

Add Alt Text Using Windows Live Writer

1. Add a image in Windows live Writer.
2. Click on image and you will see options in the right side menu like screenshot below.

 3. Click on Advanced Tab.

4. You can above in screenshot Alternate Text Input Form. Please do not make title and alt tag same.
5. In alternate text  Writer Little Description about your image. Less Description is more better for Search engine Accessibility.
6. After Adding Alt text you do not need to save anything just ok blank or white are and start writing your post.

Add Alt Tag Manually To Your Images

1. See Following HTML Image Link  example of a simple image HTML Code:
Adding this code any where in your templates will display an image.
When robots scan your content they look for every detail and when they come across your image HTML code they do not recognize what the image is all about.
<img src="image example link" />
2. Image link with alt tag
<img src="image example link" alt="alt tag tutorial" />
You can see in the above code that the alt=”alt tag tutorial” tells Search engine spiders that the image being displayed is about "alt tag tutorial" add two-three short words to describe your image.

This way you will turn your images into a traffic driving source and can expect fair amount of increase in daily visitors just by adopting the habit of Image Tagging. Use the image alt attribute the way it was ment to be used, to provide useful information to your website visitors no matter how they access your website. Seven Tips On How To Create Awesome Headlines 2017

Writing headlines for your blog that could hook those readers in an instant is a monumental task. It will determine whether or not you’ll make a good impression to your target audience. Thus, creating an appealing one is essential for the sake of your blog’s success. Of course, knowing that you need to create a compelling headline and actually doing it are two different things. These seven tips will help you do the latter and hopefully, be able to put them to good use.

1. Be as specific as you can be

Confusing headlines (in the hopes of sounding creative and deep) will not attract a huge number of readers. This is due to the fact that people have limited attention spans, especially when on the Internet. As negative as it might sound, web readers love being spoon fed. If they can’t understand the whole point of your article by reading the headline, then you can rest assured that they won’t even bother viewing the body of your copy.
Your headline needs to be crystal clear about the topic that you’re going to discuss. Squeeze in as much detail as you can on the head. Make use of your keywords and try to ready you’re readers for what’s about to come.

2. The “What’s in it for me?” technique

Most web readers today are benefit-driven. Use this to your advantage by offering something of use to your target audience. For example, tutorials and tips (like this one right here) is a surefire way of hooking eyes online. Starting off with “Ways to” or “How to” will certainly increase your article’s flair and readability.
Furthermore, you need to remember that offering something unique and fresh is a must when you’re writing for the Internet. The same goes for headline writing. Experiment with different terminologies and word phrasing from time to time and see which works best.

3. Numbers does wonders

People are generally obsessed with numbers. In fact, most writers nowadays promise some sort of list about certain topics and are further improving the hook of their headlines. Go along with the trend and incorporate some math on your head. Just don’t forget to deliver when all has been said and done. Otherwise, be prepared to face the ire of your readers.

4. Be a myth buster every now and then

Though it requires a lot of skill to pull off, headlines that promises to debunk a certain belief or ideology can help your blog earn some much needed hits. Make your readers feel that they are being mistaken about something by creating a contradiction on the head of your article.

5. Make your audience panic

One of the most common mistakes that newbie writers do nowadays is creating a headline that feels “laid back”. They fail to understand the power and importance of urgency and thus, miss out on people who simply dismisses what they’re offering. Veer away from this practice and try to go for a “panic-inducing” headline.
Suggesting to your readers that they’re going to create a certain mistake by not reading your post is a surefire way of keeping their interest. Just keep in mind not to scare your readers too much.

6. Adjectives make it all pop-out

Words like unbelievable, stellar and excellent can help your headlines stand out on the Internet. Don’t take adjectives for granted because they exist for a very special reason in the world of writing. They make everything appear more exciting, fresh and on action without changing the meaning of the headline.
Making use of adjectives on your headline requires a somewhat personal approach. No one is going to complain about it because what might be unimpressive to you could be out of this world for another person. In short, different strokes work for different folks.

7. Take cues from your daily newspaper

This is a very good technique if you’re just starting out as a writer/blogger. Newspaper writers and editors have long perfected the art of creating shocking and beautiful headlines. No one does it better than them! Learn from the masters and you will surely improve your headline writing skills in no time.
As cliché as it might sound by now, headlines really does make or break your article. Your copy isn’t going to amount to anything if people didn’t give a damn about the title of your topic.

How To Make Keywords Work 2017

Guest Post – Our host is Maria Smith (Marketing Director) who takes a look at how to make keywords work. See How To Become a guest author.
Needless to say that keywords is significant aspect of website optimization. Keywords perform navigation function for search engines as well as for users. Thanks to keywords search engines match up sites content with search query and show the website in search list. Keywords should correspond with searches as accurately as possible to provide the site with top position in search ranking. Of course, there are a lot of other factors that impact on search ranking except keywords and searches accordance, but I want to pay attention to this crucial search ranking factor. Let’s see what types of keywords exist.

Types of keywords

1) Head queries are the most frequent. Usually consist of 2 words. Head queries are used by trusted respected and the most popular resources and market leaders. It’s quite difficult and has no reason to begin website optimization with this type of queries. Popular 2 words query will never bring a new website to the top. That’s why second type of keywords is in field of interest.
2) Tail queries usually consist of 3 and more words or even can be a phrase. This type of keyword is characterized by low frequency of queries per month, but can be effective for optimization at the beginning. Long-tail keyword allows to appear in the top of search quite fast. Moreover, long-tail keyword is the way of fast optimization of blogs and informative sites.

How to select right keywords?

The main problem is to choose right keyword. Success of site promotion primary depends on solving this problem. Along with their main goal, keywords should bring traffic and increase conversion.
First, there are a lot of tools such as Semrush, Word stream, Word Tracker that allow to suggest possible keyword options and analyze competitors keyword. But the best tactic is to come into your potential client world and imagine what queries he uses. The most valuable factor for selecting keywords is human element. So suggested queries should be as natural as possible. List of 20 the most common queries is enough for initial analyze. Initial analyze can be done manually without keyword checkers. Just put keyword in search field and find out variations and main competitors. Manual analyze allows to estimate situation better. Tools are needed for comprehensive keyword investigation.

What keywords variations should be in the list?

all names of service/product/blog name including short forms, slang, professional terms etc.
names of elements/parts/ingredients, if it’s possible
detailing solutions, for instance, for SEO service it can be “keyword optimization”, “link building”, “Internet marketing” and so on.
characteristic of product or service, for example, “High Quality Backlinks”or “effective SEO”.
After creating a list of keywords and using mentioned tools, you will get information about which suggested words are head queries, which ones are used by competitors to select the most suitable ones. Ideally, final list of keywords for optimization should consist of 10-30 words.

6 Critical SEO Mistakes Committed By Beginners 2017

SEO has outgrown as a basic necessity of every website that wants to gather the attention of an international audience. Irrespective of the amount of time, money and efforts you’ve spent on designing and developing your website, unless and until you make it friendly with the search engines, it won’t fetch you the expected results. It is under such a situation that people feel the need to hire an SEO expert. Well, today there’s a huge majority of graduates that’s choosing SEO(Search Engine Optimization) as a career stream. If you too have chosen SEO as your career then it’s mandatory for you to make a note of the silly mistakes that are being committed by beginners in SEO. My aim behind writing this blog is to make you familiar with 6 of the most critical SEO mistakes that have made beginners lose good projects.

1- Not paying heed to keyword mechanism

It’s the content and not keyword that the readers are looking for. Some SEO beginners ignore this fact and tend to focus on stuffing their content with keywords. Doing this restricts the content from getting noticed by the search engines, which in a way leads to bad search engine ranking of the website. It is essential to realize that keyword distribution within the text should only be taken as a part of SEO activity.

2- Not outsourcing link building

Often SEO beginners fail to realize that outsourcing certain parts of the online marketing campaign can be detrimental to the project’s progress. In the wake of performing every single task by themselves, these beginners tend to damage the website’s reputation by not focusing on the link building part. Top-quality backlinks play a vital role in the success of a website and neglecting this very aspect leads to a lower search engine ranking. SEO beginners neglect the importance of building links via social media, guest blogging, story pitching etc.

3- Using same Meta Title and Description for all web pages

Well, this is one of the most common mistakes committed by almost every newbie in SEO. It is a well-known fact that web pages backed by keyword-rich Meta title and Meta description fare well at the search engines. Some SEO beginners tend to use the same Meta title and Meta description for all the pages within a website. This leads to non-indexing of the website by Google and other popular search engines.

4- Including copied content in the websites

Nowadays, many SEO newbies are making the mistake of copying content from similar sources and modifying the same by replacing works with synonyms. Although this appears as an easy route to impress Google, it actually isn’t. Search engines are intelligent enough in detecting copied content and avoid indexing websites that include content that’s been copied from other sites.

5- Including links from unrelated languages

If you’re working on SEO for an English website and tend to include links from websites belonging to Russia or Korea, there are chances for receiving a lower search engine ranking on SERP. This is mainly because while crawling your website, Google and other search engines will compare your website’s language with the ones that have linked to you. On finding a mismatch, these search engines will provide a lower ranking to your site.

6- Switching web designs on a constant basis

This is yet another common SEO mistake that has affected the SEO campaigns of numerous SEO aspirants. As per this mistake, the SEO beginner tends to change the website’s design on a regular basis, thereby altering the site’s overall structure. Google doesn’t prefer indexing websites that have a new design every alternate week. So, it’s better to stick to one design and perform the required SEO activities on it.

Keep in mind that websites heavy on visual features and light on SEO are likely to meet failure. Google won’t befriend you unless and until you undertake special tasks that will grow your site’s potential to become Google’s friend. I hope after learning about the above SEO mistakes, you’ll be more careful in your forthcoming SEO projects and come out with flying colors.
